This past weekend marked the successful 39th anniversary of the San Francisco Gay Pride Celebration and Parade. The theme was “In Order to Form a More Perfect Union,” and the event was held over the weekend of June 27 and 28, 2009 in the Civic Center of downtown San Francisco .

The parade started off on Sunday at 10:30 am with an amazing line-up of parade contingents and more than 19 venues presenting music and shows throughout the day. More than 500,000 people attended the event, including parade Grand Marshalls Cloris Leachman and Lieutenant Dan Choi and numerous celebrity guests.

One of the hottest stages was the 12th Annual Steamworks Latin Pride Dance Stage –produced by Club Papi and Granda Entertainment – which drew a crowd estimated at 50,000 people. The stage featured Latin superstar Fey who performed brand new material from her latest effort “Sweet Temptation”, including the lead single “Let Me Show You” which was released in the US last week and has already garnered heavy rotation in the clubs around the country. The singer announced a National Gay Club Tour in late summer to support her new album and celebrate 15 years in the business.

For the first time in San Francisco , Mexican actress and singer Laura Leon put everyone to dance with her contagious signature hits “Suavecito”, “Mujeres Engañadas”, “Dos Mujeres, Un Camino” y “El Premio Mayor”. After the show was done the eager audience called for an encore. Objetivo Fama stars Josue Perez and Maggie Leon also performed in support of the LGBT community.

Other performers that have graced the Latin stage in the past years include Gloria Trevi, India , Deborah Cox, Kat DeLuna, Mariana Seoane and Noelia.

El Doceavo Anual Steamworks Latin Stage del Orgullo Gay en San Francisco – producido por Granda Entertainment y Club Papi – fue un gran exito, presentaciones de Fey y Laura Leon.

El fin de semana pasado se celebro el aniversario número 39 del Orgullo Gay en San Francisco. El tema del festival fue “A fin de formar una union más perfecta” y el evento se llevo a cabo a lo largo del fin de semana del 27 y 28 de Junio de 2009, en el Civic Center del centro de San Francisco.

La parada comenzo el Domingo a las 10:30 am con un espectacular despliegue de participantes y carrozas y más de 19 escenarios con musica y presentaciones especiales a lo largo del dia. Más de 500,000 personas atendieron el evento, incluyendo a los Mariscales de la parada Cloris Leachman y el Teniente Dan Choi, ademas de varias celebridades invitadas.

Uno de los escenarios más populares fue el doceavo anual Steamworks Latin Pride Dance Stage – producido por Club Papi y Granda Entertainment – que reunio una multitud estimada en 50,000 personas. El show conto con la participacion de la super estrella latina Fey quien interpreto material completamente nuevo de su ultimo disco “Dulce Tentacion”, incluyendo el primer sencillo “Lentamente” que fue lanzado en los Estados Unidos la semana pasada y ya cuenta con fuerte rotacion en los principales clubs del pais. La cantante anuncio un Tour Nacional en los Clubs Gay a final del verano para apollar su último lanzamiento y celebrar sus 15 años en la industria.

Por primera vez en San Francisco, la actriz y cantante Mexicana Laura Leon puso a todos a bailar al ritmo de sus clasicos exitos “Suavecito”, “Mujeres Engañadas”, “Dos Mujeres, Un Camino” y “El Premio Mayor”. Al finalizar el show la audiencia pidio a gritos que la cantante regresara al escenario. Los participantes de Objetivo Fama Josue Perez y Maggie Leon tambien se presentaron en apoyo a la comunidad LGBT.

Entre los artistas que se han presentado previamente en nuestro escenario se encuentran Gloria Trevi, India, Deborah Cox, Kat DeLuna, Mariana Seoane y Noelia.
