India Performing LIVE! at SCORE this Tuesday Aug 30th for her Gay, Lesbian, & Transgender Fans

International Recording artist, Billboard and Grammy award nominee “INDIA” , which began her career in the eighties, recording a pop dance music style called “Freestyle” produced by the famed composer/producer John “Jellybean” Benitez, (Madonna, Whitney Houston) and garnered hits like “Dancing on the Fire”, “The Lover Who Rocks U” “Mirage” and then moved into a pop dance style called “Tribal House” in the 90’s with then husband and international Producer/DJ Little “Louie” Vega and garnered the international hit “Love & Happiness (Yemaya Y Ochun)” and in the late nineties to date began a career as a Latin artist recording many “Salsa Hits’ such as “Dicen Que Soy”, “Ese Hombre”, “Mi Mayor Venganza” ,“Me Canse De Ser la Otra”,“Vivir Lo Nuestro” a duet with Marc Anthony, “Seduceme” and many more, given the title of “The Princess of Salsa” by Godmother Celia Cruz (which she also recorded duets with) and also recorded with Tito Puente, Oscar D’Leon, Tito Nieves and more, will receive three (3) awards at a performance this Tuesday, August 30th, 2005 at the renowned club SCORE on South Beach, at a performance for her Gay and Lesbian fans.

Miami-Dade County will declare “India Day” with a proclamation from the county, The city of Miami Beach will give her an “Appreciation Award”, and the Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Bi-sexual human rights organization Unity Coalition will giver her the “Gallo” award for her dedication to Gay rights issues, India has performed at New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Queens Gay & Lesbian Pride events, including signing a duet with Patty Labelle at last years Long Beach Pride (a song she recorded on Patty Labelle’s last album written for Celia Cruz).

India is in the studio recording a new album with Grammy winning producer Sergio George

under the SGZ label, which is due this fall and Universal Music Latino, recently released “Grandes Exitos +” (Great Hits +) #7 with a bullet on the Billboard Tropical Chart (August 20th, issue) a compilation which includes many of her Salsa hits and DVD videos, spanning her career and includes two remixes of her hits in the new “Reggeton” style (one remixed produced by the famed DJ Nelson of the “Mas Flow Compilation Fame”.)

Each year Ambiente Magazine and Ambiente TV pay tribute to people or institutions that in one way or another have risen to represent the pride of the Hispanic Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender community and its efforts.
